Which parents that do not want their children to grow healthy and develop optimally? Moms would certainly do any kind of way to support their development process. The two main keys to children’s optimum development are nutrients and stimulation.

A balanced nutrition can increase the cognitive function. Giving fast food or food with artificial dyes and flavorings are proven to decrease children’s intelligence. According to research, children’s IQ increase 14 percent after removing fast food from the cafeteria at the school.

It is needed in the process of storing memory into the brain and will improve children’s way of thinking.


Such as eggs, contain choline that serves to improve memory ability. Protein also helps the formation of new cells in the brain, including neurotransmitters.

Rich in antioxidants and lutein that serves to protect brain cells from damage.

Lean Meat

Contains iron. Lack of iron will affect the ability to learn and decrease children’s memory ability. Iron also helps in the formation of new nerve cells.

Vitamin B

Vitamin B1 serves to protect the nerve cells in the central nerve system. Vitamin B3 stabilizes the function of nerve cells. Vitamin B12 helps with the growth and function of nerve cells and spine as well as prevents nerve cells damage. Some sources of Vitamin B are brown rice, cassava, green beans, bananas, tomatoes, avocados, and so on.

Vitamin C

Foods that contain vitamin C are oranges and grapes. Vitamin C is proven to improve the memory ability.

Vitamin A

Vitamin A helps the formation of the retina as a stimulus recipient or data in the form of light to be processed by the brain.

So, what kind of stimulation that can improve children’s intelligence?

  • Try to always make a physical contact with your children, like hugging or cuddling them.
  • Use a good expression and body language when talking to them.
  • Spare your time to always read them books before bed.
  • Choose a recreation place that can stimulate their curiosity, like the museums, zoos, etc.
  • Spend time to have dinner together.
  • Introduce them to music. Music will help the children to be more focus and improve their creativity.
  • Get them to be used to physical activities as this will increase blood circulation to all parts of the body, including the brain. When the brain is flowed with a large supply of oxygen, it will improve their concentration and their way of thinking. According to an existing research, physical activity will make children to think clearly which can improve concentration, provide positive energy, improve the motor skills, and decrease the risk of depression.

Equipped with the above information, Moms must now have known what to be considered to improve children’s intelligence, which by maximum stimulation and the proper yet complete nutrients.
