Various Talents That Can Become Your Little One's POTENTIAL

As a mother, watching your little one grow and develop new interests can be both exciting and overwhelming. He may seem enthusiastic about many things, such as drawing, dancing, or playing building games and all of these interests seem to appear at once. However, how can you recognize whether all of these interests are new hobbies or hidden talents that have just emerged?
Talent is a POTENTIAL within yourself that can be developed into skills, unlike hobbies that are only for fun and do not always require skill to carry out. By developing your little one's talents, you will maximize the best POTENTIAL within him.

Getting to Know Talent
Talent can be defined as POTENTIAL or innate talent that has been possessed since birth. This POTENTIAL needs to be developed through practice and experience so that it becomes a special skill that is useful for his future.
It is very possible that your little one has many talents at once, because basically he has POTENTIAL in many types of intelligence (also called having Multiple Intelligences). However, many children experience the development of only 1-2 talents into skills, because their opportunities to get development also only occur in a few talents.
To be able to recognize his talents, you can invite him to do some new things that he has never done before. Invite him to do it until he is good at it, and that's when you can know that his talent in that field has developed.
Types of Talents
The following are the types of talents that your little one can have and need to be explored by you.
Artistic Talent
The main characteristic of artistic talent is the ability to express imagination through work. His work can be in the form of pictures, dances, songs, and other works of art.
If he is sensitive to shape and color, he will be able to create images to explain his own ideas or feelings. Meanwhile, if he has sensitivity to music and movement, he might be creative in creating a dance based on the song he hears.
Maybe your little one is less sensitive to movement, but he is sensitive to tone and rhythm, so he can create songs. If he also has sensitivity to words, then the song will also have meaningful lyrics.
You can develop your little one's talent in this field of art by providing media such as paper or a board for drawing, or a simple musical instrument such as a pianica. You can also register him for drawing courses, ballet courses, or music courses that are now widely available in big cities. It is very good if you praise him every time he produces a new work, to motivate him to train himself until he is proficient.
Sports Talent
If your little one likes to move and has a competitive attitude, this is a sign of his talent in sports. For example, he likes to challenge himself to play basketball or often invites his friends to race bicycles or run races. Another characteristic is that he also seems enthusiastic about watching videos of people exercising, especially because he is interested in imitating their techniques.
One interesting characteristic is even seen when he is not yet 6 months old, when he is able to move objects from one hand to another, which is a sign that he has good coordination between his eyes and hands. Generally, newborns do not have this ability until the age of 6 months, so if he is able to do it, he may have great sports talent.
To mature his POTENTIAL sports talent, you can register him in a sports club. Clubs like this can hone basic skills and develop his mentality to be more competitive. Recording him every time he achieves a new record, or when he fails to do a new challenge, will also make him learn and can make his sport POTENTIAL even greater.
Technological Talent
The characteristics of talent in technology are the ability to learn new technology quickly and have a curiosity to learn the latest technology. He is also able to use various technological tools to create creative products, such as videos, applications, or interactive presentations.
POTENTIAL in this technology can be developed by giving him the opportunity to experiment using various technological devices and programs. He can be invited to try video editing programs, coding, or graphic software to hone his creativity.
Enrolling him in a technology program or club, such as a coding bootcamp or robotics club, can also provide a supportive environment for learning and developing with friends who have similar interests.
Encouraging him to create technology projects, such as simple applications, websites, or digital games, can be an effective way to hone his abilities.
