If usually Mom takes little one to eat a meat steak, this time let’s try to make a meatless steak, using tempeh. Don’t be wrong, though it comes from processed soybeans, Mom’s grilled tempeh is still delicious and of course it’s low fat. The soft tempeh texture that is very suitable as a substitute for meat for this processed western food.   • 30 g chopped onion
  • 3 cloves garlic, puree
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon fine salt


  • 2 eggs, beat it
  • 50 g flour

Brown Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 150 ml meat broth/water
  • 30 g chopped onion
  • 50 g button mushroom, chop it
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 20 g Morinaga Chil School Platinum MoriCare Zigma Vanilla flavor powder milk, dissolve it with a bit of water
  • 1 teaspoon sweet soy sauce
  • 30 g margarine
  • ½ teaspoon ground pepper
  • ½ teaspoon fine salt

How to Make:

  1. Brown Sauce: Heat the margarine, saute onion until fragrant. Put the flour, meat broth, seasonings, mushroom, and Morinaga Chil School Platinum MoriCare Zigma Vanilla flavor milk solution. Cook while stirring until boiling and thick. Lift.
  2. Mix the tempeh with egg, bread crumbs, Morinaga Chil School Platinum MoriCare Zigma Vanilla flavor powder milk, and all the ingredients. Mix it well.
  3. Tale 3 tablespoons of tempeh mixture. Flat round shape. Dip it into egg whisk and roll it into flour.
  4. Heat the oil, fry the tempeh steak until it is cooked and brownish yellow in color. Lift.
  5. Arrange the tempeh steak on a serving plate. Serve it warm with brown sauce.

Tip: Tempeh can be replaced with tofu with the same amount.
